Ski Week

Hey gators!  Last week was ski week, and I want to know about all of the exciting things you did!  Did you go skiing someplace cold, or did you enjoy the tropical sunshine in Hawaii?  Write a short comment on what you did and also feature your name and grade.  I’m excited to hear about all of your wonderful vacations!

Got Books?

Do you have a favorite book that you would like to share with a child who doesn’t even own a book?  Grand View is partnering up with Access Books to build a library at Tibby Elementary School and we need your help!  You can help by dropping off any books by the library or office. To learn more about Access Books, watch this video.

New Spirit Day!

Show your gator pride by wearing pajamas on Friday, February 17.  Pajamas will count as green so your class will get points for every student that wears their cozy PJ’s to school. Remember, you can wear gator green every Friday to show all of you Grand View spirit.  Hope you all have a fabulous Pajama Day!

Suggestion Box

Do you have ways that you would like to improve Grand View?  A suggestion box located in the front office will allow you to make our wonderful school even better.  Your suggestions will be checked by student body president, Cooper R.  Thanks for making our school such a great place!

Dress Code

All of the fifth grade girls are going crazy about the school’s dress code.  They think it’s unfair to have to wear shorts past our ring finger and your tank top straps at least an inch wide.  Some parents say that they have spent a lot of money on short shorts and now they have to buy their daughters new pants and tank tops with wider straps.  What can we do to stop the dress code?
